Updated November 29th 2024
1. Holiday Order Deadlines
To ensure your orders arrive in time for the holidays, please plan ahead! Here are the key dates to keep in mind:
December 2 - Last day for international customers
For international orders (shipping outside the US), please place your order before this date to ensure it arrives before the holidays. Orders placed after this date may not arrive in time, regardless of the shipping service selected.
December 16 - Last day for USA customers
For domestic orders (shipping within the US), please place your order before this date if you need it fulfilled or delivered before Christmas.
December 19 - Last day of shipping for 2024
This is the last day we’ll be fulfilling and shipping orders before our team goes on break. All orders placed after this date will be processed after the New Year.
2. Important Update for EU Customers Regarding New Safety Regulations
Starting December 13, 2024, the European Union is introducing new General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR). These changes will affect small businesses like ours, especially for shipments to the EU and Northern Ireland. Here’s a simple breakdown of what’s happening and how it will affect orders:
-
New Requirements for Products:
- Products must include specific safety labels and certifications.
- Safety documentation and test results must be made available upon request.
- An EU-based Authorized Representative is required to manage safety compliance and act on behalf of the seller.
-
Impact on Small Businesses:
- These regulations apply to all non-food products sold to the EU, no matter the platform used to sell them.
- Many small businesses are choosing to pause EU shipments due to the complexity and costs of compliance.
-
Our Approach:
- Until December 19, 2024: We will continue fulfilling EU orders. The new regulations won’t impact products shipped before this date.
- After December 19, 2024: We will temporarily pause shipments to the EU and Northern Ireland until clearer guidance and processes are available for small businesses.
We know this may be disappointing for our EU customers, and we deeply appreciate your understanding as we work through these challenges. We’re hopeful to revisit EU shipping in the future once the regulations are clarified and feasible for small businesses like ours.
Thank you for your support and patience!
3. Important Update on Potential Shipping Delays to Canada
Updated November 29th
Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, USPS has temporarily stopped accepting shipments to Canada. Here’s what you need to know:
- Packages shipped since November 15: These are currently held at Canada Post facilities and will be processed when the strike ends.
- Packages shipped between November 15–29: These packages may still reach Canada, but there is a chance they could be turned back at the border and returned to us. If this happens with your order, feel free to email us to request a refund.
- Starting November 29: We will not be shipping anything via USPS or Asendia (PirateShip) as they will be returned to sender if we do.
We will still accept USPS and Asendia orders to Canada, but customers who choose these options should understand that their orders will be held until the strike is over. Shipping them now would result in the packages being turned back at the border.
For now, UPS remains available as an alternative, though it may come with higher shipping costs.
We’re keeping a close eye on the situation and will provide updates as soon as we know more. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience during this time.
TL;DR:
- USPS/Asendia shipping for Canadian customers will remain open, but we will not ship them until the strike is over.
- If you have an unfulfilled order going to Canada, you will be contacted to choose one of the three following options:
- Hold your order until the strike ends.
- Switch to UPS shipping method.
- Cancel your order for a refund.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions or would like to pre-emptively choose one of the three above options.
4. Holiday Break
No orders will be fulfilled or shipped during December 20th to January 1st. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, January 2.
